RESPONSIBILITIES: Functionally, the candidate will be responsible for:

MAR Division of Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst located in the Rockville, MD area to support the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The Cyber Security Analyst acts as a lead consultant, interfacing between the customer and IT security consulting team throughout the federal information system Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) lifecycle process. The ideal candidate is very detailed oriented with strong written and oral communication skills as well as a strong technical background. He/she will be responsible for planning, developing, finalizing, and reviewing key deliverables in each stage of the SA&A process. As a result, a strong understanding of standards and requirements outlined by FISMA, NIST, OMB and others is required. The Cyber Security Analyst will be actively engaged in identifying unique system characteristics, interviewing key organizational personnel (technical, administrative, and executive), working with the consulting team to compose requisite documentation (security categorizations, risk assessments, contingency plans, security test & evaluation reports, vulnerability assessment reports, etc.), and mapping complex technical requirements, functionality, and capabilities to prescribed security controls, policies, and practices.   • Developing security artifacts and/or standards and policies across multiple IT platforms, including: Mainframe, Client Server, and Web-based systems.

LOCATION: National Business Parkway, MD

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience or High School Grad and 9 years experience in analyzing functional business requirements and design specifications for functional activities.  4+ years Windows Systems Administration Experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years Windows Systems Administration Experience required.   
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT applications and systems. 
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. 
  • Provide support to IT systems and application including:  day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem solving/resolution for all of issues arising. 
  • Provide second level problem identification, diagnostics to include 50% travel.
  • Provide support for the dispatched problems and remain involved through resolution. 
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. 
  • Must possess experience in one or more systems, architectures and associated software and hardware.
