The MAR Division of Oasis Systems, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Painter to support the Industrial Services Enterprise (ISE) at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division in Newport, Rhode Island (NUWCDIVNPT). The Industrial Services Enterprise provides full-service manufacturing and engineering facility for prototyping and production work with dedicated space for engineering, machining, additive manufacturing, painting, powder coating, welding, sheet metal fabrication, assembly and inspection. The contractor shall operate the ISE manufacturing machinery to provide services such as design and drafting, gauging/dimensional inspection, and a wide spectrum of machining, welding, fabricating, assembly, and painting of mechanical components. Performance under this task order may require non-recurring travel, specified by Technical Instructions to the following locations: Groton, CT, Norfolk, VA, Bangor, ME, San Diego, CA, and Andros Island, Bahamas.   Position Description: The Painter’s primary duties will include, but not limited to: - painting and redecorating walls, woodwork and fixtures. The Painter Maintenance must have the following experience: - knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications, preparing surface for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices, and applying paint with spray gun or brush. This person may mix colors, oils, white lead and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or 84 consistencies. - rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience. The ideal candidate should have the following: - Prior experience with Permit required Confined Space Programs and or possession of a Confined Space Certification is desired. - Prior experience performing lockout/tag-out procedures to prevent any unexpected energizing or startup of machines or equipment, or release of stored energy, which could harm personnel is desired. - Prior experience maintaining a High Work program compliant with all existing Navy and OSHA requirements is desired. - Prior experience providing personnel with training and equipment to support any High Work which may need to be performed at the facility is desired. - The ability to pass Respirator Testing.
