  • Overview

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Advisor to the Advanced Programs Joint Test Force Director on all matters pertaining to the allocation and bed down of test munitions and special test equipment that will be used in a new DOD ACAT 1C program
    • Possess a broad understanding of munitions handling and procurement procedures
    • Instrumental in writing the concepts of operations and deployment for equipment that will be shared among several major USAF and USN test ranges across the CONUS
    • Familiar with fighter aircraft combat loading requirements in order to direct the work of active duty, civilian, and contractor munitions and weapons specialists assigned at various test locations
    • Write munitions acceptance, testing, and loading procedures for a brand new test missile and test equipment that will be used for highly classified captive carry and live-fire flight testing
    • Ability to work independently with little supervision and be comfortable with enhanced security requirements
    • Knowledge of the handling and transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous equipment and able to make program level recommendations about modes and avenues of shipments IAW DoD and DoT regulations
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • MS degree and 10 years of relevant experience desired (BS and 8 years or 12 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a MS degree)
    • HAZMAT training (desired)
    • Munitions safety training (desired)
    • Preferred Skills
    • Familiarization with USAF and USN weapons handling and automated database tracking systems
    • Familiarization with the USAF and the USN developmental test processes
    • Familiarization with the test communities at Eglin AFB, Edwards AFB, and China Lake Naval Air Station
    • Familiar with MS Excel or Access

    ADDITIONAL INFO:
    • Security background investigation within 6 years of hire date (or in progress)
    • Must be able to maintain a Top Secret security clearance
