  • Overview

    Provide integrated master schedule support to the USAF Approach and Landing Systems Branch, Aerospace Management Systems Division, within the Digital Directorate located at Hanscom AFB, MA.



    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of work experience. Dept. of Defense experience is preferred.
    • Must possess journeyman level scheduling capability using MS Project Professional.
    • Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs highly desired.
    • Knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices as defined in DoDI 5000.02 as well as knowledge of roles and relationships with the DoD and Air Force is desired
    • Capable of leading and executing tasks associated with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) planning, development, execution and analysis for complex weapon systems.
    • Ability to support and interact on a daily basis with high level officials and ability to deliver products successfully in a fast paced environment (on demand).
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an active US security clearance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office products
    • Travel of up to 1 week per month may be required.

    The Scheduler duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Evaluate and analyze weekly and monthly submittals of contractor schedules and report on status
    • Develop schedules that include project phasing, project milestones, objective entry and exit criteria, and critical relationships between program tasks to effectively plan, coordinate and visualize all significant program activities
    • Serve as the primary contact for schedules between the prime contractor and Government program office and directly engage with leadership on all aspects of the master schedule
    • Analyze proposals that compare and quantify proposed command, control, surveillance, battle management and information processing systems, components, and approaches for technical feasibility, compatibility and cost effectiveness.
    • Aggregate scope details and tasks of multiple functional areas (eg test, logistics, etc) to develop a highly-complex, baselined Microsoft Project schedule that illustrates a traceable critical path
    • Ensure consistent communication of project status is developed, maintained, and communicated to appropriate stakeholders by various means
    • Work with subject matter experts to assess overall production/program requirements to ensure proper resources are planned and scheduled to support master delivery schedules and milestones.
    • Support the Program Manager on related tasks such as program management reviews, developing presentations, etc.
