  • Overview

    Provide Network engineering support to the Force Protection Division, which is within the Battle Management Directorate, located at Hanscom AFB, MA.  Specifically, this position will provide technical support required for the sustainment of the Force Protection Division's Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) Effort.


    • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience in the DoD environment.
    • Must be a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or possess an industry equivalent certification.
    • Must have at least nine (9) years of experience in network engineering.
    • Extensive experience with IT with a concentration in networking (routing, switching, firewalls, voice and security technologies) is necessary.
    • Must be able to understand, explain, troubleshoot, and configure networks, network security technologies (VPNs, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec, MACSec/TrustSec)
    • Must be able to analyze/evaluate/design network topologies and device configurations to ensure compliance with written requirements
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an IPT environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Candidate must have an active US security clearance.


    • The Network Engineer will support the development, acquisition, and accreditation efforts of the IBDSS Program.
    • Collect network topology information, device configurations, and cabling/infrastructure information;
    • Identify technical requirements gaps and assisting project managers in the development of acquisitions documents;
    • Evaluate/analyze network designs for compliance with project and cyber security requirements;
    • Perform on-site cyber security fielding verifications;
    • Advise program managers on future technologies of IBDSS systems/networks;
    • Identify/recommend replacement for equipment obsolescence issues and designing/engineering/testing IBDSS network baselines to meet current/future IBDSS IA/cyber security requirements to including wired and wireless technologies, networking performance both wired and wireless, and system capabilities.
