    Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Part-Time Material Coordinator/Driver in Newport, RI.  The Material Coordinator/Driver will coordinate and expedite flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with existing schedules or department supervisor’s priorities. Reviews schedules and confers with department supervisors to determine material required or overdue and to locate material. Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material. Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet schedules. Arranges with department supervisors for repair and assembly of material and its transportation. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

    This candidate must have experience with the following:

    •  EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 5 years’ experience
    • EDUCATION: High School or GED
    • SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Active Secret Clearance
    • JOB STATUS: Temporary Part-Time 
    • TRAVEL:  20% of job
    • Must maintain clean driving record in accordance with Company Insurance provisions and subject to random drug testing at any time.
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Functionally, the successful candidate will:

    • Receiving and entering Calibrated Equipment into the government tracking system
    • Assist Contracting Officer Representative with gathering quotes for purchasing
    • Provide Quality Assurance for outgoing shipments
    • Package and Prepare Calibrated Equipment for Shipment
    • Transport Calibrated Equipment to Government Facilities located in Rhode Island and Connecticut using company owned Cargo Van
    • Other Duties as assigned
