  • Overview

    Successful candidate will provide EPASS Advisory and Assistance Services to the Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate (AFLCMC/HN) at the AF Life-Cycle Management Center (previously the Electronic Systems Center). The C3I&N Directorate’s primary mission is: Connecting Warfighters with Affordable, Secure, and War-Winning Cyber, C3I and Network Systems. The Directorate provides C3I connectivity, network, and infrastructure between Joint, Coalition, AF, and Allied countries space, air, terrestrial, and cyber domains. The Directorate in headquartered at Hanscom AFB, MA with 11 other operating locations.  This position will have to interface with a team of military, Government civilian, contractor project managers and FFRDC/A&AS support personnel in the day-to-day activities associated with management of HN’s projects, programs and initiatives.

    Qualifications

    Ranges from, Level II: BA/BS, 10 years of experience (3 yrs DoD); or  15 years of directly relatable experience (5 DoD);  to Level III: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience (5 years DoD), or BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience (5 years DoD), or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 DoD).

     

    Note: Oasis has some flexibility to swap experience for degree requirements and vice-versa.

    IT Certifications are a plus.

     

    ADDITIONAL INFO:

    Position Location(s): Hanscom AFB, Lackland AFB, Offutt AFB, Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex.

    Travel: Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.

          Secret clearance (depending on location); or as a minimum, the ability to obtain a clearance

    Responsibilities

    Specific Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will ensure that all system and application deliverables meet the requirements of all DoD and Air Force Cybersecurity policies.

    The successful candidate will posess certifications in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M standards. The successful candidate will be able to perform work that involves ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.

    The candidiate will ensure personnel performing cybersecurity activities obtain, and remain current with, technical and/or management certifications to ensure compliance as directed by DoD 8140 and outlined in DoD 8570.01-M, Appendix3, Table 2,2 AFMAN 33-285 and as stipulated in Section H, Clause H101 of the overarching Application Services RFP.

    Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

    • Supporting the system/application authorization and accreditation (A&A) effort, to include assessing and guiding the quality and completeness of A&A activities, tasks and resulting artifacts mandated by governing DoD and Air Force policies (i.e., Risk Management Framework (RMF).
    • Recommending policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
    • Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs.
    • Promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations’ visions and goals.
    • Conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
    • Recommending systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
    • Recommending and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
    • Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies.
    • Facilitating the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.
    • Assessing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions.
    • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
    • Perform the Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) duties in an Information Assurance Workforce System Architecture and Engineering (IASAE) position as outlined in AFI 33-200, AFI 33-210 and AFMAN 33-285 for assigned systems.
    • Perform the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) duties as outlined in DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems/applications.
    • Perform the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties as outlined in DoDI 8510.01 for assigned systems/applications.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Works with assigned administrative, and matrixed acquisition support, financial management, engineering contracting, configuration and data management, and other staff.
    • Works with the Oasis Task Lead and Oasis teammates to document processes, and initiate and implement AFSO21 Rapid Improvement Events, Training Events and mentoring sessions for all task personnel.
    • Responsible for developing Integrated Master Schedule inputs, as well as tracking and reporting on Progress for assigned program(s).
    • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other technical documentation.
    • Facilitates and supports Division meetings and reviews, team building, strategic planning, and other on- and off-site activities.
    • Assists as needed in preparing and reviewing program/project documentation, e.g. Determinations and Findings, Justifications and Approvals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statement Of Objectives (SOOs), Statements-of-Work (SOWs), Program Implementation Packages (PiPs), Performance Works Statements (PWS), Systems/Technical Requirements Documents (SRD/TRD), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Program Support Agreements (PSA), EMAs, 1067s, etc. and assist in source selections.
    • Performs other duties as required.
