  • Overview

    Successful candidate will provide EPASS Advisory and Assistance Services to the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at the AF Life-Cycle Management Center (previously the Electronic Systems Center). The projects we are supporting are: HBBA-AOC, HBBI-EV, HBBI-TGTS, HBD - 3DELRR, HBD - BCS-MOD 1, HBD - HFGCS, HBD - MAF TDL, HBD - NCR-IADS, HBD - WAS, HBGB-DCGS, HBJ-JSTARS RECAP, HBM CAF, HBM Framework Program, HBM Integration Group, HBM MAF, HBN, HBS-ADS-B Out, HBS-CNU, HBSB-CID, HBSB-E-3 Block 40/45, HBSG-EP, HBW-SAOC.  This position will have to interface with a team of military, Government civilian, contractor project managers and FFRDC/A&AS support personnel in the day-to-day activities associated with management of HB’s projects, programs and initiatives.


    Ranges from, Level I: BA/BS, 4 years of experience; or  8 years of directly relatable experience;  to Level III: Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience (5 years DoD), or BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience (5 years DoD), or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications (8 DoD).


    Note: Oasis has some flexibility to swap experience for degree requirements and vice-versa.

    IT Certifications are a plus.



    Position Location(s): Hanscom AFB, Langley AFB, Tinker AFB

    Travel: Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.



    Secret, Top Secret clearance (depending on location); or as a minimum, the ability to obtain a clearance


    The successful candidate will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering to include but not be limited to reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, V&V, support and test. Also to include source code, configuration files and engineering resolution support. Responsibilities may also include but not be limited to:

    • Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
    • Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
    • Improving operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
    • Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products
    • Providing information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
    • Accomplishing engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed
    • Performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
    • Working as a member of an agile software development team. Performing some mix of the below tasks as directed by the government team lead or engineering lead
    • Elaborate high level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks, in collaboration with users (from Lead Command or operating units) and government lead engineers
    • Perform coding tasks for features/functions
    • Perform coding tasks for functional and performance tests for features/functions
    • Perform peer design and code reviews with other team members
    • Perform coding/scripting tasks for software build, packaging and deployment
    • Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned


    General Responsibilities:

    • Works with assigned administrative, and matrixed acquisition support, financial management, engineering contracting, configuration and data management, and other staff.
    • Works with the Oasis Task Lead and Oasis teammates to document processes, and initiate and implement AFSO21 Rapid Improvement Events, Training Events and mentoring sessions for all task personnel.
    • Responsible for developing Integrated Master Schedule inputs, and tracking and reporting on Progress for assigned program(s).
    • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, and other technical documentation.
    • Facilitates and supports Division meetings and reviews, team building, strategic planning, and other on- and off-site activities.
    • Assists as needed in preparing and reviewing program/project documentation, e.g. Determinations and Findings, Justifications and Approvals, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statement Of Objectives (SOOs), Statements-of-Work (SOWs), Program Implementation Packages (PiPs), Performance Works Statements (PWS), Systems/Technical Requirements Documents (SRD/TRD), Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Program Support Agreements (PSA), EMAs, 1067s, etc. and assist in source selections.
    • Performs other duties as required.
