    Provide Acquisition Support for AFRL/RW Chief Scientist-Weapons Community of Interest (COI) Program & Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program at Eglin AFB, FL.

    Qualifications

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, expert attention-to-detail & highly organized, with Microsoft SharePoint experience.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Hold and maintain an active Security Clearance.
    • Knowledge of AF instructions and operations in resource management and acquisition programs.
    • Professional experience in finance and management duties & office organization.
    • Minimum of 5 years administrative management experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Master's degree desired.
    • Excellent customer service experience and skills.

    • Prefer prior AF experience and/or experience in laboratory setting working with scientists and engineers.
    • Prefer prior finance and management experience, especially working with highly technical information

    Responsibilities

    • Directly support high-level Air Force Program and Program Manager (AFRL/RW Chief Scientist), managing day-to-day operations, coordinating meetings, visitors, calendars, managing non-personal administrative functions and providing office organization support.

    • Provide advice and assistance analyzing, formulating, documenting, and monitoring R W-specific processes for initial approval of research projects and for managing proposed portfolio adjustments to include the    Weapons Community of Interest (COI) program; developing and maintaining SharePoint portal, workspaces, and workflows that implement the defined investment processes: collecting, analyzing, and reporting of the data which reflects required and desired metrics.
    • Provide advice and assistance analyzing, formulating, documenting, and monitoring R W-specific processes for initial approval of research projects and for managing proposed portfolio adjustments to include the    Weapons Community of Interest (COI) program; developing and maintaining SharePoint portal, workspaces, and workflows that implement the defined investment processes: collecting, analyzing, and reporting of the data which reflects required and desired metrics.

    • Provide advice and assistance developing cost estimates during the formulation phase of key technology maturation efforts such as high visibility Flagship programs, Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations, Advanced Technology Demonstrations, or quick-reaction risk reduction efforts; documenting early cost estimates so as to facilitate their maintenance/update by subsequent, dedicated program cost estimators; assessing the currency, accuracy, and completeness of investment portfolio data contained in multiple data management systems; continually assess and understand technical principles across a broad spectrum of technologies as part of a thorough understanding of program management; providing critical, often time-sensitive support evaluating and executing RW budgets, and assisting RW Product and Support divisions to capture current and future investment pictures as required by RW, HQ AFRL Management, Secretary of the Air Force Acquisition (SAFI AQR), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD).

    • Provide advice and assistance reviewing contract deliverables such as program milestone schedules and SRs to determine if events, problems, status, and actions are accurately described with advisory comments to Government; advisory and assistance expertise during source selection processes beginning with evaluation criteria through advice on preparation of responses to proposals; all in accordance with prior Contracting Officer approval; design, maintain, and operate a Munitions Directorate infrastructure data base; interface with organizations and facility managers to update data that describes major facilities and supports AF core strategies; prepare analyses and reports as required; interpreting, researching, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments to meet planning schedules, management-directed exercises, and associated deadlines; hosting and participating in meetings, workshops, TIMS, etc. nationally and internationally.

    • Acquisition Project support to the Strategic Planning Division, Capability Planning Branch (RWPB).   It provides advisory and assistance support for RWPB by performing the following duties in support of the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) investment process and the Office of Research and Technology Applications (ORTA).

       

    • Administrative duties such as assisting in preparation for inspections and audits.

       

    • Process management support for the SBIR program.

       

    • Support the maintenance of data related to topics, proposals, status reports and other SBIR material.

       

    • Assist in the writing and editing of technical material such as activity reports and SBIR topics.

       

    • Provide program documentation, reports, and related statistics to the process manager and advise on areas of concern or issues in obligation and expenditure of funds, dollars on contract, and other business and financial data related to the SBIR program.

       

    • Provide administrative support to the SBIR process manager in working with AFRL headquarters, Air Armament Center, and Munitions Directorate senior staff and program managers in formulation of topics, prioritization, status updates, electronic tool usage, data related to, but not limited to, topics, proposals and status reports.
