    Provide Systems Safety Engineering support to the Technical Management and Advisory Services (TMAS) contract award at Eglin AFB, FL.



    • Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering and/or Master’s degree and 10 years of experience.
    • Prefer prior AF experience with highly technical programs, working with scientists and engineers, and program managers
    • Superior attention-to-detail with several years of DoD and/or AF Safety Experience.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as various AF safety programs/databases
    • Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, maintaining multiple spreadsheets & tracking information.
    • Excellent customer service experience and skills.
    • Current US Security clearance



    • Project Management Specialist directly provides Systems Safety support to Det 6 AFRL/SES and the Munitions Directorate by developing, planning, inspecting and performing follow-up to ensure all safety principles are adhered to by the RW workforce on a daily basis.
    • Systematic systems safety technical planning, design, system integration, V&V, and supportability.
    • Evaluating, coordinating, monitoring and performing engineering systems safety analysis of facilities, systems, equipment and operations and monitors contractors engaged in like work.
    • Provide technical safety engineering advice, direction and design criteria.
    • Recommends safety features and controls for system design, software, training and procedures to mitigate or eliminate hazards.
    • Performing analysis, detailed system-level trade studies, ensuring safety flow-down of requirements.
    • Develops safety documentation to include system hazard analyses.
    • Perform review of Hazard Analyses per MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-1901, MIL-STD-1316 and associated contract requirements.
    • Ensures hazard controls are properly implemented and verified.
    • Develops systems safety plan for facilities and programs.
    • Provide advice and assistance performing qualitative studies and provides engineering analyses of low and high-voltage electrical safety issues, mechanical properties and pneumatic systems.
    • Recommends ways to improve the analysis of safety and service reliability data.
    • Evaluates a variety of complex, unconventional safety problems or circumstances to determine risk assessment of the hazardous processes or conditions identified.
