  • Overview

    DOORS Requirements Engineer to provide technical support to the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) program office at Hanscom AFB, MA.

    The selected candidate will be able work independently and with the Program/ Project Engineering Team to Identify, develop, and utilize proper acquisition test and test evaluation techniques, approaches, processes and procedures.

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience with DOORS Relationalship database management systems and tools
    • Experience in DOD System Engineering policies and Procedures
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project
    • Experience with Air Battle Management Systems
    • Ability to interface with internal and external clients
    • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
    • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
    • BA or BS degree in Engineering 
    • Must have an active US security clearance 

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Assist the AWACS Division level Requirements manager for the overall management of requirements gathering, tracking, monitoring, reporting, and linking.
    • Assist the Program Managers, programs and Requirements Working Group (RWG) in the identification of issues and inconsistencies in the requirements and provides reports and summaries.
    • Responsible to ensure program and project requirements are traced and provides historical data on requirements changes, additions, and deletions.
    • Verifies that technical requirements baseline documents for multiple programs are traced to the AWACS Specifications correctly and reports inconsistencies for resolution
    • -Establishes and maintains the consistency of a product's attributes requirements (performance, functional and physical attributes) with regard to design and operational information and user requirements, by managing the AWACS Specifications.
    • Develop requirement management plans, maintain configuration control and traceability through the requirement lifecycle.
    • Derive new system/subsystem requirements, allocating and tracing them through the requirement lifecycle.
    • Lead program/project stakeholders in deriving requirements from functional need and capturing in database tools.
    • Establish and maintain requirement database tools (such as DOORS), requirement data entry, traceability, requirement management and configuration management.
    • Ability to transition requirements into test requirements, establishing traceability through system test scripts and reporting through verification and validation.
