    This Instructional Systems Designer position will report to a Lead Instructional Designer as a member of cross-functional team and will analyze, design, develop, evaluate and maintain training materials and programs.

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Design and development of training materials using the ADDIE model
    • Determine the appropriate learning outcomes and instructional strategies/methodologies based on adult learning theory
    • Create course design guides, storyboards and other training documentation
    • Develop eLearning and instructor-led training
    • Assist customer in maintaining course curriculum and assets, providing consultation and recommendations on effective strategies and processes to maintain course curriculum/assets
    • Implement, maintain and archive training assets and documentation in accordance with customer standards and processes
    • Analyze and evaluate training related data
    • Create reports articulating the state of course materials/training programs
    • Develop data collection strategies for various customer related questions using existing knowledge of training design/development
    • Collaborate with ISDs and various levels of government personnel including instructors and SMEs to obtain/collect data related to courses/curriculum
    • Provide expertise in the creation of processes and templates related to training design/development
    • Collect, analyze, report and use quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions or projects

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant work experience
    • Minimum two years of WBT/ILT Instructional Systems Design experience with a bachelor’s degree
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Visio, and Adobe products
    • Experience applying the ADDIE model to course design/development in a professional/business environment
    • Knowledge and experience with learning management and learning content management systems
    • Ability to work within knowledge services networks (SharePoint environments)
    • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
    • Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of customer-ready materials
    • Experience collecting, compiling, analyzing and synthesizing data
    • Experience developing training with Articulate Storyline 2
    • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects
    • Ability to work within virtual teams

     

    DESIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience developing learning with the FAA or other government agencies
    • Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education and/or Adult Education
    • Experience developing training with various training development tools (Lectora, Adobe Captivate, Storyline Articulate 2)
    • Experience defining and developing SCORM and 508 compliant training products
    • Demonstrated experience with learning management and learning content management systems
    • Ability to plan and enhance initial and existing training designs
    • Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity
    • Project Management experience
