  • Overview


    Provide Cyber Security support to the Force Protection Division, which is within the Battle Management Directorate, located at Hanscom AFB, MA.


    Working under the direction of the Program Information System Security Manager (ISSM), the Cybersecurity Analyst acts as a lead consultant, interfacing between the individual installation and engineering project teams and the Information Technology (IT) Cybersecurity team throughout the federal information system lifecycle process.



    • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant IT experience.
    • Candidate should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy tools and deployment processes, Windows Administration, scripting, Registry Hives and Windows configuration techniques. Strong desktop application administration skills such as Microsoft Office, web browsers and antivirus applications are necessary.
    • Basic Linux experience (Red Hat, Fedora and Ubuntu) and basic networking experience (Cisco, Juniper).
    • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Cybersecurity Controls, DoD and AF Cybersecurity guidance and regulation, and DoD A&A processes is desired, but not required.
    • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality.
    • Candidate should have excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and possess analytical skills to identify and fault isolate problems/issues, accurately assess relevance of information, generate and evaluate alternatives, and provide solution recommendations
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an IPT environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Candidate must be able to obtain, at a minimum, CompTIA Security + certification within six (6) months of employment.
    • Candidate must have an active US security clearance.



    • Perform Cybersecurity Security Test and Evaluations (ST&E) per DoD and Air Force requirements/guidelines.
    • Develop ST&E criteria and procedures, including development of scripts (PowerShell, Visual Basic, Perl, shell scripts, etc.). Identify potential tools to be utilized in the ST&E process.
    • Advise installation and engineering project teams on Cybersecurity requirements for their specific project.
    • Perform Cybersecurity risk analyses, including risk assessments.
    • Assist the ISSM in the development of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation as required.
