Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

Provide system engineering support to the International programs and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Division, which is within the Battle Management Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA.

This position will specify, analyze, and design software-centric systems and system-of-systems in the Command and Control (C2) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) domains.

As an Air and Missile Defense system subject matter expert, this position will support the US Air Force in the design, implementation and verification of Integrated Air and Missile Defense C2 systems and enterprises for key foreign partners.

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of equivalent experience supporting Dept. of Defense programs.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience with any three of the following systems: Patriot, THAAD, Early Warning Radar, Ballistic Missile Defense System Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), Air Operations Center (AOC), Control and Reporting Center (CRC).

  • Experience translating operation requirements to technical requirements.

  • Experience in systems integration.

  • Candidate must have an active US security clearance

     

    Travel

    This position will require overnight travel, both international and domestic, up to 25 % as well as local travel.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of concept of operations for US and Foreign Partner interoperability for air and missile defense.

  • Establish key systems requirements for engagement management, situation awareness, mission planning, interoperability, and embedded training.

  • Coordinate with US stakeholders, US subject matter experts, and Foreign Partner operators to solicit operational requirements. US stakeholders include USCENTCOM, US Missile Defense Agency, 32nd AAMDC, USAFCENT, USARCENT.

  • Ensure the architecture and technical implementation of FMS C2 systems support US and Foreign partner requirements.

  • Guide the development of human-machine interfaces to ensure ease of use and satisfactory operational suitability.

  • Ensure test approaches are realistic and verifying results during testing events.

  • Generate air defense operator training requirements and managing Contractor development of training materials to verify effectiveness.

  • Perform manpower analyses and recommendations for C2 and Air and Missile Defense operations.
