PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide Training support to the Tactical Air Control Party - Modernization (TACP-M) program, which is within the US Air Force (USAF) Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom AFB, MA.


The TACP-M program office requires a Training Specialist with experience as a professional trainer as well as active duty experience as a TACP necessary to lead a team in the development of training materials and in providing initial as well as follow-on training to active duty TACP personnel in the operations and maintenance of the TACP systems. 




  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 10 years of TACP, JTAC experience. Experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, Power Point proficient
  • Three years of formal instruction experience
  • Trained in contemporary industry style dynamic and interactive training courses including presentation equipment
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with and across a wide spectrum of environments and personnel
  • 50% Travel required, CONUS/OCONUS
  • Ability to speak in public, and present dynamic and interactive instruction
  • Must have an active US security clearance




  • The TACP-M Training Specialist will motivate, guide and train TACP users/operators in support of multiple ACAT III equipment acquisition programs.
  • Utilize existing training materials as well as lead/aid in development of new training materials, programs and evaluation tools, and present training in order to provide dynamic and interactive training for TACP hardware and software programs.  
  • The Training Specialist will be trained to the subject matter expert level and provide training to the TACP user/operator in classroom and operational environments.
  • Conduct initial and recurring training at Air Support Operations Squadrons, Centers, and Groups in CONUS and OCONUS locations. 
  • Responsible for tailoring lesson plans and materials and lead a Mobile Training Team to provide unit level training with classes ranging from the individual level as well as to groups of up to 30 students. 
  • The TACP Training Specialist will be able to articulate complex manual tasks through verbal presentation and task demonstration/performance, may involve instruction of precise sequence of actions to be followed and may require additional instruction and repetition to ensure that a user/operator fully understand the material. 
  • Individual will interact with vendors, program office and warfighter personnel during the development, implementation and training evaluation process through the life cycle of the program.
