Overview

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

Provide Systems Engineering support to the Global Command and Control System - Air Force (GCCS-AF) program office, which is within the Battle Management Directorate (AFLCMC/HB) at Hanscom AFB, MA.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:                             

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 4-7 years of related experience.
  • Experience on Dept of Defense or Air Force acquisition programs is highly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Candidate must have an active US security clearance.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The Systems Engineer duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead technical teams in consulting with other Program Offices on GCCS-AF requirements to integrate their application with GCCS-AF.
  • Interface/Interact with GCCS-J PMO (DISA) and Operating Commands.

  • Principle engineering interface between Project Management Lead and entire Technical team for that release.

  • Ensure release activities are achieved to meet PMO objectives IAW the GCCS-AF Baseline Process and release schedule
  • Conduct requirements analysis for development of Global Command and Control System (GCCS) Air Force technical solutions

  • Develops standard architectures in conjunction with Integration Engineers.

  • Adheres to standard processes

  • Attends conferences, meetings, and boards for the purpose of providing input to the design, development and configuration of future requirements.

  • Prepare briefing materials for PM/Users Conferences/Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs)
  • Reviews operational requirements with Lead Command as required. Evaluates with technical team to determine scope and resources required.
