Overview

MAR Division of Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator to support the Farm Credit Administration (FCA or Agency). The fundamental scope of the requirement is to provide technical assistance to the Office of Information Technology Applications Division OIT-AD to accomplish its objectives. The Contractor shall provide subject matter expertise and technical services to assist the OIT-AD in all phases of planning, database management, application development, maintenance, analysis, reporting, documentation, and operations. 

 

LOCATION: McLean, VA

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later; experience with SQL Server 2014/16 preferred. SSIS development, data warehousing and BI experience is desirable.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance 

JOB STATUS: Full-Time This position is contingent upon program award.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Functionally, the candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing and implementing physical data structures.
  • Managing multi-server SQL Server environment with multiple instances. 
  • Preparing and executing backup, recovery and retention strategies. 
  • Regularly performing maintenance on servers to address security vulnerabilities and patching. 
  • Managing user access and security. 

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later; experience with SQL Server 2014/16 preferred.
  • SSIS development, data warehousing and BI experience is desirable.
  • Be an Expert in SQL.
  • The ability to work independently and with other developers to develop and deploy stored procedures and other T-SQL constructs. 
  • Be an Expert at evaluating database performance and performance tuning.
