Overview

 

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Data Analyst located at the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division in San Antonio, TX.   This position retrieves data from a logistics database for analysis to measure performance and detect trends.  This position also administers the database, including creating and maintaining user accounts, and coordinating with the database developer and host to resolve issues. 

 

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX               

 

JOB STATUS: Full time

 

TRAVEL:  Occasional travel

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret

 

EDUCATION: B.S. or 15 years’ experience in lieu of B.S.

 

CERTIFICATIONS: DoD 8570 level I certification preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:  10 years experience of which 3 years must be in the DoD, or 15 years experience in lieu of B.S., 5 of which must be in the DoD.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

 

Experience troubleshooting and maintaining systems, preferably in a DISA-hosted environment.

Integrated Maintenance Management System (IMMS) experience preferred.

Experience handling software change requests preferred. 

Basic understanding of HTML syntax to program the output of database notification templates preferred.

Experience with Role Based Access Controls (RBAC) for database user account administration preferred. 

Experience creating and updating trouble ticket workflows preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Excel pivot tables, conditional formatting, and functions.

Intermediate to expert level experience with all Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Excel pivot tables, conditional formatting, and functions.

Intermediate to expert level experience with Adobe Acrobat.

Experience with process improvement practices to include implementation and measurement of performance gains.

Experience with project management practices as a tool to manage program deliverables.

Experience with meeting facilitation, documentation, and action item tracking.

Helpdesk/troubledesk experience preferred.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Resolve database access issues.  Coordinate with DISA and contracted support technicians to resolve unplanned outages and coordinate planned downtimes.

Create and maintain user accounts.

Chair weekly IPT calls with COTS database developers.  Maintain meeting Action Items. 

Be the point of contact for DISA when they need approval to patch the severs hosting the database.

Evaluate proposed operating system changes and work with the database developer to ensure changes won’t adversely affect database functionality.

Work with database developer and DISA hosting representatives to ensure the database is protected from newly discovered software vulnerabilities.

Support the database developer and host to ensure the authority to operate (ATO) is maintained for the database.

Respond to Government agency requests for information regarding the database. 

Provide reports on contractor mean response time and mean time to repair and perform trend analysis.

Create visual aids and provide familiarization and training to database users.
